So we all know that the wedding season is in full swing and finding that perfect gift for the happy couple can be a little bit of a nightmare. We’ve all been in that situation - shall I by this? Where do we begin, that is the biggest question of them all. Most people these days have moved in together and have all the basic necessities, that years ago were traditional wedding gifts. So what can you buy for a couple who has it all? Here are our 5 top tips: 

Have they made a wish list? 

Some organised and rather helpful couples (in your books) will perhaps prepare a list of gifts they would like or items they would need. This makes your job a lot easier, you can just pick one you’d like to buy and bob’s your uncle - your wedding gift is sorted! So if you are struggling to find a gift, why not ask to see if they have anything on a wish list and you could make their wishes come true ;) 

What are their interests or hobbies? 

These are a great starting point when you’re trying to find a wedding gift. What does your friend like to do in their spare time? You can find something slightly different to the usual. What is that the couple likes to do? Do they enjoy traveling, cooking, going out for food, going to the cinema or are they into their photography? This can be a real focus point when on your searches and can really help you find something a little quirky. 

Have you looked at a group gift? 

It’s happened to all of us, we’ve found the perfect item, trip or gift to give to the happy couple but….. the big but… the price. It’s a little more than you wanted to pay? Frustrating right? Perhaps the idea of a group gift is a little more appealing as this way you are able to spread the cost of the gift but the couple are still getting something they would truly love and cherish. 

Can little and more be best? 

I don’t know about you but when I think of a weddings and buying a present, I automatically think of something big and extravagant - when really if it isn’t needed, what is the point in buying it? 

As the saying goes, “you don’t get diamonds as big as bricks”. Some times a few smaller gifts can mean a whole lot more.
